How to move around the city?
Milan, as a major European metropolis, offers a complete and efficient transport network for tourists. The aircraft is a preferred option, with three main airports: Malpensa, Linate, and Orio al Serio. Malpensa, the largest, is well connected to the centre of Milan by the Malpensa Express train and shuttles. The train is another practical solution, the Milan Central Station (Central Station) being one of the main railway hubs in Italy, connecting the city with other major European and Italian destinations. Once in Milan, public transport is excellent. The metro, with its four lines (and a fifth in progress), covers the majority of the city. Buses and trams complete this network, offering even wider coverage. For greener travel, Milan also offers easily accessible bicycle and scooter rental services.
